Motorcycle Accidents in North Carolina
Many North Carolinians enjoy riding motorcycles, either for fun or as a primary form of transportation. On any given day, there are thousands of motorcyclists on the streets and highways across our state. While riding a motorcycle can be enjoyable, it does not come without risk. In 2018, there were 3,566 motorcycle accidents in North Carolina with 2,806 injuries and 176 deaths. The rate of death and injury among motorcyclists is far greater than the same rate for other motorists, including drivers and passengers in commercial and non-commercial vehicles.
Many North Carolina motorcycle accidents result in serious injuries. These injuries can include broken bones, head trauma, spinal cord injuries, neck injuries, soft tissue injuries, and more. A motorcycle accident can lead to a recovery period that may last months or even years. Motorcyclists are given very little protection from the force of a crash with a larger vehicle. Often, these accidents are caused by the negligence of another driver.
If you or a loved one have been hurt in a North Carolina motorcycle crash, it is important to contact a skilled and experienced North Carolina motorcycle accident lawyer as soon as possible.
