Winston-Salem, NC (April 25, 2022) – A 34-year-old Winston-Salem man lost his life in a two-car crash that took place on Sunday, April 24th. The accident happened around 12:30 p.m. on North Glenn Avenue at the intersection with East 28th Street.
According to the Winston-Salem Police Department, 34-year-old Joseph Gause was driving a 2000 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck westbound on East 28th. At the same time, a 25-year-old woman was operating a 2020 Dodge Charger southbound on North Glenn. The two cars collided at the intersection for unknown reasons. Gause’s vehicle ran off the road following the impact and struck a nearby unoccupied vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the accident scene. There is no word on whether the other driver was injured.
An investigation into the accident remains ongoing. Police have not said whether any charges are expected to be filed.
