Winston-Salem, NC (March 28, 2021) – A woman from Summerfield sustained injuries following a two-car crash in Winston-Salem on Thursday, March 25th. The accident took place at approximately 12:53 p.m. on Old Greensboro Road at the intersection with Hilda Street.
The Winston-Salem Police Department responded to the crash scene. According to a report from Officer C. Brown, Maureen Wardlaw was operating a vehicle westbound along Old Greensboro Road. At the same time, Katerina Webb, of Kernersville was turning left from Hilda onto Old Greensboro. As she turned left, Webb failed to see Wardlaw coming towards her vehicle. The two cars collided in the intersection, with both suffering heavy property damage.
Wardlaw sustained undisclosed injuries as a result of the collision. She was transported to Baptist Hospital by the Forsyth County EMS. Webb was checked out by medical personnel at the scene but was not transported. Following an investigation, Webb was charged with making an unsafe movement leading to the collision.
