Winston-Salem, NC (May 19, 2021) – The Winston-Salem Police Department responded to the scene of a motorcycle crash on Tuesday, May 18th. The accident happened at the intersection of Patterson Avenue and Indiana Avenue at approximately 9:40 p.m.
According to officials, the motorcyclist was traveling near the intersection when he collided with an SUV. The motorcyclist, who was not immediately identified, was rushed to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries. There is no word on whether the SUV driver was injured. There were no other injuries reported. Police believe that an unsafe movement may have led to the crash occurring. At this time, there have been no charges filed but there is an ongoing investigation.
