Winston-Salem, NC (July 24, 2020) – The Winston-Salem Fire Department responded to the scene of a fatal car accident on Friday, July 24th. The crash took place around 3:05 p.m. on Germanton Road near Whittier Road and Oak Summit Road.
Officials arrived at the scene just after the crash occurred. According to reports, at least one person died as a result of the collision. There is no information on the cause of the crash at this time and the identity of the deceased victim has not been released. Police have not said whether anyone else was injured in the wreck nor is there any information the number of vehicles involved. The roadway was expected to be closed while officers and investigators worked at the crash scene.
