Winston-Salem, NC (August 19, 2022) – A pedestrian was killed in an early morning crash on Friday, August 19th. The accident occurred just after 1:00 a.m. on US Highway 421 south near the exit ramp for Linville Road.
The Winston-Salem Police Department responded to the scene of the collision shortly after it occurred. Police say that the deceased victim was crossing the road when he was hit by a Chevrolet Cruze. The unidentified pedestrian died at the accident scene. The victim was described as a male in his late 20s or early 30s. The driver of the Cruze was not hurt. Motorists were asked to use caution near the accident scene.
Officials are still working to investigate the accident at this time. There is no word on whether any charges will be filed in connection with the crash. No further information has been released.
