Winston-Salem, NC (May 23, 2021) – The Winston-Salem Police Department responded to a call regarding a pedestrian crash early Saturday morning. The collision took place around 3:40 a.m. in the 1800 block of Ebert Road.
According to a report, a 2019 Honda Civic was traveling southbound on Ebert when it struck a pedestrian who was walking in the roadway. The pedestrian sustained critical injuries as a result of the crash and was taken to a local hospital. The injuries are believed to be life-threatening. Police have not released the pedestrian’s identity at this time pending next-of-kin notification. The driver of the Civic was not identified by authorities. At this time, there is no additional information on the events leading up to the accident and it is not clear if any charges will be filed.
