Winston-Salem, NC (September 23, 2020) – Police in Winston-Salem responded to the scene of a crash along U.S. Highway 421 on Tuesday, September 23rd. The crash was first reported around 7:30 a.m. near mile marker 239 in the northbound lanes.
When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered at least one victim suffering from serious injuries. There is no word at this time on how the accident occurred or the number of injured victims. One car was seen off the roadways and down an embankment. Police have not released any details on the cause of the crash. The road remained closed for several hours as police and rescue crews worked at the scene to investigate and to clear away the debris.
