Winston-Salem, NC (February 14, 2021) – The Winston-Salem Police Department responded to the scene of a two-vehicle crash in the city on Thursday, February 11th. The collision happened around 8:00 p.m. along Shattalon Drive near the intersection with James Street and Bethania Station Road.
According to Officer B.S. Schafer of the Winston-Salem Police Department, William Alfonso Hickman, of Winston-Salem, was traveling on Shattalon Drive. At the same time, Georgia Lee-Fisher, also of Winston-Salem, was traveling in the opposite direction on Shattalon. Hickman tried to make a left turn in front of Lee-Fisher’s vehicle but the two cars collided with one another. Hickman sustained injuries in the accident and was taken to Wake Forest Baptist Hospital by ambulance. The exact nature and extent of his injuries are not known at this time and there is no word on his condition. Lee-Fisher was not injured in the collision.
There have been no charges filed in connection with the accident as officers continue to investigate. There is no additional information available.
