Zebulon, NC (February 11, 2022) – Authorities in Zebulon were at the scene of a fatal accident on Thursday, February 10th. The crash happened on North Carolina Highway 39, near the intersection with Earpsboro Road.
According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, the accident involved a moped and a pickup truck. The moped was seen on the road broken into several pieces with debris stretching approximately 30 to 40 feet from the road. There is no word on what caused the accident at this time. However, the driver of the moped was pronounced dead at the scene. Motorists were advised to avoid the area and to find alternate routes of travel if possible.
No further information has been released at this time and the identity of the deceased victim is not available.
The accident remains under investigation.
